Au final, la Radeon HD 6870 est une très bonne carte de milieu de gamme. Elle est relativement peu gourmande et tempère ses ardeurs sonores. Les performances sont également au rendez-vous et la positionnent pile entre la GeForce GTX 460 de 1 Go et la GTX 470, autrement armées. Reste une inconnue : la 3D en relief, qui en est à ses balbutiements chez AMD.

Weâ€â„¢ve been raving about the nVidia GTX 460 for the last couple of months, but the Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 now takes over in the â £151-plus graphics card category. This fantastic card costs less than â £200, but is even able to rival the significantly more expensive 5850. We can expect the upcoming 6900 series to take performance up a notch again. However, for those shopping around at the â £200 price point today, the Sapphire Radeon HD 6870 is a stunning buy.
