Le téléphone mobile S110 Liquid Stream est un smartphone conçu par Acer, utilisable avec les réseaux 3G / UMTS, 3G+ / HSDPA, 3G++ / HSUPA, Edge et GPRS.Il est basé sur le système d'exploitation Google Android. Ce téléphone mobile dispose d'un écran tactile 3,7 pouces, d'une puce GPS, d'une connexion WiFi. Il affiche 5h d'autonomie en communication, et embarque 512 Mo de mémoire interne. Enfin, il lit votre musique MP3.
Le Stream est donc un smartphone très intéressant, mais qui souffre d'un défaut majeur : la luminosité de son écran. Il exhibe pourtant fièrement tous les efforts déployés par Acer pour proposer un smartphone original, avec une interface et des fonctions qui tiennent la route. Ce modèle est donc très encourageant pour la suite. Il faudra aussi parfaire la gestion logicielle des nombreuses possibilités multimédias du Stream, pourquoi pas à l'occasion d'une éventuelle mise à jour vers Froyo, la version 2.2 d'Android ?
Avec l'Acer Stream, le constructeur taiwanais entend bien trouver sa place entre les Samsung Galaxy S et HTC Desire en misant sur des caractéristiques proches et un prix plus attractif.

With 15 to choose from right now, Acer is taking a scattergun approach to its Android phone line-up. The Acer Stream is one of the better-equipped, although there’s little here to recommend this me-too handset over competitors from HTC or Motorola.
The Stream is obviously Acer's attempt to break into the big league when it comes to premium smartphones and there’s certainly much to like. It’s very fast, has a great screen and even the design is a big step forward from Acer’s previous efforts. However, it’s hampered by its poor battery life and Acer’s rather awkward user interface enhancements. Acer is definitely on the right track here, but sadly with the Stream some of the ingredients for success still haven’t made it into the mix.

Overall we found navigation to be fast, with little sign of lag anywhere in the device. Applications loaded with pace and executed their functions without problems. For all the changes that Acer has brought in, we found the Stream to run the UI without any problems. It also worked just the same when this UI was switched off. The keyboard was improved by turning off the haptic feedback on presses, which allowed a faster rate of text entry.
