The Armageddon from Prolimatech is another stunning air-coolers from the makers of the highly acclaimed Megahalems. The Armageddon is tall and yet thin making it the ideal solution for people that have limited space around their CPU sockets. And because the cooler is thinner does not it is going to cool any less as the height of the cooler make up the surface area needed to cool the most demanding processors.
The fact the cooler is geared towards the use of larger 140mm than the smaller 120mm this also aid in the high performance we saw in the cooler. The cooler is not shipped with the cooler; we know that 140mm is slowly becoming a standard these days. So, finding them in your located parts store maybe a little difficult. But we suggest if you have to order from an online source we recommend using Prolimatechâ€â„¢s very own Blue Vortex fans. In a dual configuration setup we heard very little coming from the cooler. Making it a good quiet solution for those that donâ€â„¢t want the turbine sound that comes from most coolers.
We find the Armageddon for sale on several online store fronts. The best price we can across was $62 which will put the cooler in the middle of some other outstanding coolers. Adding in a couple of 140mm cooling fans can put the total cost close to $100 depending on the fans.
The performance we have saw in the Armageddon and the older Megahalems really makes you want to see what Prolimatech will come up with next. We will be waiting.
