Le Navigon 7310 Edition ViaMichelin est un GPS puissant, rapide, riche en fonctions et agréable à l'œil. Néanmoins, bien que ses instructions de guidage soient claires, sa reconnaissance vocale convaincante et la cartographie détaillée, nous avons pu constater que les itinéraires proposés ne sont pas toujours logiques. A cela, le constructeur répondra que l'essentiel est d'arriver à bon port, mais cela n'effacera pas l'inefficacité du système d'information trafic, incapable de nous proposer le moindre itinéraire bis. A 349 euros, on attend un peu mieux...
The Navigon 7310 is packed with features. The headline 3D enhancements still feel like a work in progress, but that doesn't stop this being a very functional sat-nav overall. At around £300, it's also priced reasonably considering the full Western European mapping and specification, although the necessity of forking out for a subscription to activate RDS-TMC in the UK reduces this. But if you do want a comprehensively capable personal navigation device, TomTom's GO 740 LIVE, the European map version of the GO 540 LIVE, remains our top recommendation, assuming you travel frequently enough to make the monthly subscription worthwhile.
Looks may not be everything in a satnav, but they certainly haven’t hindered the superior Navigon 7310. Great mapping, clear onscreen detail and the ability to get you safely from current location to eventual destination mean the Navigon has you covered. We have our reservations about using the speech tool while on the road and think there’s work to be done on the logic algorithm for bringing up destination information. However, there are features galore in the Navigon 7310 and it raises the bar in terms of what satnav technology attempts to do, even if it hasn’t quite got the implementation right.
