The Nokia N78 is yet another phone from Nokia that Nokia fans will be happy with.
While there is nothing earth-shatteringly bad about the N78, for us a clumsy interface detracts from the abundance, and we mean abundnace, of features this handset offers.
The Nokia N78 has some excellent features, but it is let down by poorly designed controls. If you can overlook this issue, it's a neat handset that has plenty to offer.
The good: The Nokia N78 features a 3.2-megapixel camera and integrated GPS for navigation and geotagging capabilities. The smartphone also offers U.S. 3G support, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth.
The bad: The N78 didn't have the best call quality, nor did it produce great pictures. It's also expensive.
The bottom line: As with all Nokia N series smartphones, the Nokia N78 impresses with its high-end features, especially the new geotagging tool, but we were slightly disappointed by the spotty call quality.
The N78 doesn't bring much that is new to Nokia's ‘multimedia computer' concept and as such is a bit of a disappointment. That said there are some neat features such as the FM transmitter and the ability to rotate the display, but as a phone it's a bit chunky for the pocket and the number pad is far too fiddly.
# Pros FM transmitter. Web browsing is great as ever on the N series
# Cons Tricky to use keyboard and all–in–one pad. The navi wheel distracts from getting involved in all the extras on offer
